Biography

Paul Manigrasso is a five-time Super Lawyers Rising Star and founder of Manigrasso Law Firm. An active Texas CPA and the former CFO of an SEC registrant, he brings substantial real-world business experience to his legal practice, including deep familiarity with financial operations, contract structuring, and internal process and policy development. His work is grounded not just in legal theory, but in how businesses actually function day to day.

Paul is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, New Orleans, LA, all Federal Districts of Texas, all State Courts of Texas, the United States Court of International Trade, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the United States Navy – Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals.

Paul currently serves as a Major (Judge Advocate) in the Texas Military Department.

Paul maintains a focused practice in the wine industry, advising vineyards, wineries, distributors, and hospitality businesses on alcohol compliance, taxation, and operational strategy.

Alongside this, he provides sophisticated tax counsel at the state, federal, and international levels, with a particular emphasis on U.S. taxpayers living abroad. He regularly guides clients through complex reporting regimes, cross-border issues, and tax minimization strategies. He regularly represents individuals and businesses undergoing audit or contesting tax matters, negotiating, mediating, or litigating such matters as needed.

The result is a practice that integrates legal precision with practical business judgment, serving both United States-based enterprises and individuals navigating increasingly global financial lives.

In addition to his legal and financial background, Paul is an avid long-range rifleman with more than fifty years experience with both conventional cartridge firearms and traditional black powder arms, including rifles, pistols, and shotguns. His longstanding familiarity with firearms, ballistics, marksmanship, and firearms culture provides practical insight into matters involving sporting arms, hunting traditions, firearms safety, and related regulatory issues.
